Terry Hill
retires

Veteran South Sydney player Terry Hill has retired from rugby league following a tumultuous off season including a serious knee infection and a reported feud with coach Paul Langmack.

Hill, who found his way home to the Rabbitohs this season, is understood to have ended his 15-year first grade career because of persistent injury. The 32-year-old played 230 first grade games for five clubs - Souths, Easts, Wests, Manly and the Wests Tigers.

The bustling centre-come-lock also played 14 games for NSW, nine Tests for Australia and toured with the victorious Australian outfit in 1994. Hill was also a member of Australia's World Cup winning side in 1995.
