Tuesday's Expert Wrap - Rep Weekend

A big weekend of rep fixtures is now in the bag - although the debate about the weekend's placement and the relevance of some matches will rage, there was some great footy played regardless.

On Friday the Women's All Stars were too good for their Indigenous Women's counterparts, 24-0 victors in the first match of the weekend. This was played as a curtain raiser to the Rugby League Test, where Australia overcame a slow start to down New Zealand 30-18, having trailed 18-12 at halftime. Saturday saw a smorgasbord of footy at Penrith's Sportingbet Stadium, with the key fixtures seeing the NSW Blues win Under 20's State of Origin 30-8 over Queensland, then Samoa surged ahead of Fiji 32-16 to qualify for this year's Four Nations tournament.

Sunday saw the much-maligned Country v City Origin clash take place in Dubbo, with the City boys rallying late - coming from 26-10 down with ten remaining to draw 26-all.
