Two more youngsters pledge their
future to the club

Wigan can today announce that youngsters, Liam Colbon and Chris Melling, have both signed new two year contracts with the club.

Both players have had involvement with the Warriors first team this season. Liam has started one game and been a sub in four others while Chris has started two and subbed in another before picking up a cruciate ligament injury at Leeds back in March which ended his season.

The pair will tie in playing rugby with their education, Liam is just starting his second year at Edgehill University where he is doing Sports Studies while Chris is at the University of Central Lancashire studying a BSC Honours degree in Physiotherapy.

Speaking about the news Rugby Executive Dean Bell said,

"We are pleased that both have pledged their futures to the club. Liam and Chris have come through our youth development scheme at the club."

"Both are young players with tremendous futures in the game, Liam and Chris have both progressed through the academy into the first team squad. The club is very supportive that they can play rugby and continue their education at the same time."
