ST Albans Centurions will play host to a star-studded London Broncos team on Thursday 12 February in easily the most glamorous game the National League Three side have ever hosted.
JANUARY 9 marks a very special anniversary for US sport although few Americans will know about it. For it was on 9 January 1954 that a USA team played their first ever rugby league international. The touring Americans were hammered 31-0 by France fifty years ago today at the famous Parc de Princes Stadium in Paris, in front of a crowd of 20,000.
ST Albans Centurions will celebrate the New Year knowing that their biggest challenge yet awaits in 2004 - making progress. Having improved hugely over the last two years, going within one kick of winning the Eastern Division of the RL Conference in 2002 then making the huge step up to National League 3 in 2003 and shocking the rugby league world by finishing fourth, St Albans have it all to do to keep on an upward curve.

POWERGEN Rugby League Challenge Cup First Round
ST ALBANS CENTURIONS broke off from their winter hiatus to thrash South London Storm 66-4 at Harpenden on Sunday. In a friendly played to prepare for the Powergen Rugby League Challenge Cup on 29 November, Centurions got off to a flier with four tries in the first ten minutes against their National League Three rivals. However, South London dug in until half-time,
keeping the score to 20-0 before the Cents ran riot after the break.
ST ALBANS CENTURIONS centre Dene Miller has the opportunity of a lifetime next Tuesday when he lines up against some of the greatest players rugby league has ever seen. Miller, from Welwyn Garden City, has been invited to join a London XIII that will play the Australian Legends in a tour match at Blackheath RFC on November 11 at 3pm, part of the Aussies trip around the UK accompanying the Kangaroos on their Ashes series.
ST Albans Centurions face a daunting trip to Bradford in the first round of the Powergen Rugby League Challenge Cup - but thankfully they will not be playing holders Bradford Bulls! Instead, the Woollams-based Cents will make their Challenge Cup debuts against Birkenshaw from the Pennine League Premier Division, on November 29, having received a bye in the Preliminary Round.
>THREE stars from the successful St Albans Centurions Rugby League squad have been voted onto the National League Three Dream Team! In their first season at National League level, and just eight years after the club was founded, St Albans finished fourth in the league, going out in the second round of the play-offs away at eventual winners Warrington Woolston Rovers.
