DRAGON Supporters The West Tigers Fanatics and the MBDS will be getting together for Sunday's screening in what promises to be one of the biggest footy crowds Richmond has seen since Anzac Day at the 'G. The screening will be held at the Rising Sun Hotel, on the corner of Burnley and Swan St Richmond and is a pub that has a great reputation for being a Rugby League friendly venue. It also offers audio for the League on Sunday afternoon's so should be a great event. We want as many of our members to turn up to this match to show the Tigers fans which out of town team has the most supporters in Melbourne so come along and show your colours!! GO THE DRAGONS!! DRAGONS Supporters, There was a huge crowd on hand in the "MBDS Reserve" at Steakout to witness the Dragons disappointing loss against the Eels and despite the loss some of us managed to party on to the wee small hours. While the last few weeks for the Dragons have been a tad lean, no doubt this week we'll see a Dragons team that's MEAN! Reni Matua started the verbals with his comment the Dogs were going to "bash" the Dragons, and our boy Brownie has let his feelings on referee's be clearly known to all with his comments in the press. Just another week in the lead up to a big game in the NRL Premiership. The MBDS screening of this classic encounter will again be held at SteakOut at Crown Casino on Sunday afternoon. This match will be a huge game for the Dragons as they try to get their 2006 campaign back on track. Channel Nine in Sydney have chosen this match to be the Sunday 4pm game, and the SteakOut is the only place in Melbourne you can see the action screened at 4pm. WHAT: Dragons v Bulldogs WHERE: SteakOut, Level 1 Crown Casino WHEN: Sunday 13th August, 4pm
DRAGONS Supporters, After the disappointment of the last few weeks, the Dragons will be looking to make amends this Friday night against traditional rivals, the Parramatta Eels. The Eels having won their last 6 matches will be looking to add the scalp of one of the Premiership favourites to their record, but St George Illawarra have it all to play for in a match that could setup their run to the finals. The MBDS screening this week will be back at SteakOut at Crown - the only venue in Melbourne which can show the NRL at 8:30pm Friday from Channel Nine Sydney. It's been great the last few weeks seeing people wearing their MBDS shirts and other Dragons merchandise so make sure you don the Red and White for this clash. Look forward to seeing you all there. DRAGONS Supporters This week the Dragons take on the Storm in a blockbuster from Jubilee Oval which could well be a preview for this year's grand final. The inside word from the Dragons camp is that the boys are fired up after the surprise loss last weekend and are ready to teach the storm a lesson or two The Steakout Sports Bar is expecting a mammoth crowd of Dragons and Storm supporters and this weekend provides us with the opportunity to show that the Storm aren't the only NRL team supported in Melbourne. Dragons supporters will have the best reserved seats in the house for this event and we look forward to seeing all of you on Sunday at 4pm. WHAT: Dragons v Melbourne Storm WHEN : 4pm Sunday 30 July 2006 WHERE: SteakOut Sports Bar, Level 1 Crown Casino
DRAGONS Supporters Last weeks MBDS event at the Steakout Sports Bar was a great night even though we narrowly lost to the Bulldogs. We were spoilt once again with reserved seating in front of the big screen, and we will be there again this week. This week?s match against Canberra is Sunday?s main game on channel 9. Because of the British Open, channel 9 Melbourne won?t be televising the match until 3am. The Steakout will be televising the match on the main screen at 4pm via a channel 9 Sydney feed. As usual, we have our reserved seating at the front. This is a big game for the dragons and a must win if we are to finish in the top 2 at the end of the season. For those of you who haven?t received your MBDS shirts, you will be able to pick them up at the Steakout on Sunday. See you there WHAT: Dragons v RaidersWHEN: Sunday 23rd July, 4pmWHERE: Steakout Sports Bar, Level 1 Crown Casino
DRAGONS Supporters, Round 18 of the NRL season saw the Dragons take outright second on the table with a 38-28 victory over the Rabbitoh's at Oki Jubilee stadium. The Dragons started the game with all guns blazing and 2 kicks from Matthew Head saw Brett Morris and Mark Gasnier both post tries in the first 10 minutes. From there the match turned into an arm wrestle of sorts with both sides looking good in patches, but neither side really doing a great deal to impress their coaches. The Dragons were able to hold on and take a 10 point victory, but will have to improve their attitude markedly if they are to compete with this week's opponents, the Bulldogs. The MBDS screening of this blockbuster will be back at Crown Casino in the SteakOut Sports Bar from 8:30pm onwards. This is the first Dragons v Bulldogs encounter held at Oki Jubilee for many years so expect a full house off the field and plenty of fireworks on the field as these 2 local rivals try to gain an edge over one another in the back half of the season. DRAGONS Supporters, Whilst last night's Origin result would have been disappointing for any Blues fans, and very exciting for Queensland fans, it was certainly fantastic to have the pinnacle of League being played in our city. For anyone lucky enough to attend I think you'll agree the roof being closed created a great atmosphere and the NRL should look at playing more big matches there in future. This weeks match for the Dragons is against the Bunnies on Sunday. After having the bye last week the Dragons leap frogged the Sharks into third position on the NRL Ladder. With a couple of players backing up from Origin the Dragons will have to be on their game to ensure we take the 2 points. Our screening is back at the Grosvenor Hotel on Sunday at 6pm so SEE YOU THERE! WHAT: Dragons v RabbitohsWHEN: 6pm Sunday 9th JulyWHERE: Grosvenor Hotel, 10 Brighton Rd East St Kilda. GO THE DRAGONS!
DRAGONS Supporters, Last Friday night saw a remarkable victory for the mighty Red and Whites, with the Dragons stealing victory from the Bronco's with a converted try in the final minutes of the match. With a less than impressive performance that saw the Dragons complete roughly1/3 of their sets, they were lucky to hang in there until the death when a soaring Brett Morris took a Matthew Head bomb to score out wide. After some confusion over who would take the kick Aaron Gorrell stepped up and nailed the conversion to put the Dragons 2 points up. After Mark Riddells effort a few years back the Bronco's will be happy they don't have to face us up there again until next year...... This week we take on the Cowboys at WIN stadium on Saturday night. The Cowboys form of late hasn't been up to the standard they have set in the past few years, and I would expect them to come out firing hoping to turn their slump around. Hopefully the Dragons will continue their winning ways and notch up another win before we enjoy the bye next round. We will once again be at the Grosvenor Hotel this week, always a great venue for the Saturday night clashes. Why not enjoy dinner in the restaurant before the match, and/or stick around for a few celebratory drinks afterwards? WHAT: Dragons v CowboysWHEN: Saturday 24th June, 7:30pmWHERE: Grosvenor Hotel, 10 Brighton Road, East St Kilda PS: No street sweeper parking is available at the venue.......
DRAGONS Supporters, What a massive week for sport in this great nation of ours! The mighty Socceroos snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in Kaiserslauten last night, the Blues head to Suncorp stadium on Wednesday night to attempt to wrap up the 2006 Origin series, and then Friday night the mighty Dragons take on Brisbane in another grudge match for the Saints. Does it get any better?? Crown Casino will be hosting the MBDS screening for both this week's big League matches, the State of Origin Wednesday night and the Dragons match on Friday night football. After the issues Telstra had with transmitting the first SOO from Sydney Channel Nine, we have been back for a number of screenings on Friday nights and all is definitely resolved. We have been assured the screening will be fine Wednesday night and see no reason to think otherwise. DRAGONS Supporters, What a way to make a return to Kogarah last Friday night and didn't we party!! An 8-1 victory in the pouring rain over the Eels saw the Dragons nudge their way back into the Top 8, and had League statisticians diving for their record books with the match lasting well into the second half before a point was scored. With a little bit of luck we can start scoring points before the last 10 mins of the game this week, when the Dragons take on the Panthers at Penrith. Our screening this week is at the cosy Grosvenor Hotel, live on Fox at 5:30pm Saturday.
