ROUND 6, 15-17 April 2005
Not much has changed at the top of this week?s Leagueunlimited.com Player Awards.
SATURDAY, 23rd April 2005
WHAT a superb line-up! As the footy keeps getting better each week, so does the talent we get to choose from. This time around we've got a star-studded side bursting at the seams with Internationals and other players showing great form in the toughest competition in the world. Given the exhibition of mouth-watering play witnessed this weekend, the Round 6 League Unlimited Team of the Week can stand up, march out onto the field and be firmly proclaimed as "the bomb!"
LAST week certainly lived up to it?s ?upside down? reputation, with this punter picking three winners and taking his total to 20/35, which might be fair to middling in most tipping competitions, but then again I could be applying liberal doses of generosity. One startling fact to emerge from the rubble though, was the order amongst the chaos. Surely, with all the lopsided and unpredictable results, you wouldn?t imagine that one of sports most treasured institutions would actually prove true? Remarkably, the home ground advantage came to the fore and was the one constant amid a seemingly changing landscape.

MONDAY?S Expert League Wrap
Round 4, Round 4, 1-3 April 2005
WHAT a sensational round of footy and with it comes another bumper League Unlimited Team of the Week. There's only two names in here from last week, proving even further that this year's comp is one of the most competitive and unpredictable to date. Given some of the fine displays over the weekend, I think side would capture the mantle as this season's finest.
ROUND 5, 8-10 April 2005
Melbourne?s Matt Orford and Canberra?s Clinton Schifcofske still head the leader board in this year?s Leagueunlimited.com Awards. The two form players of the competition remain in equal first place on seven points.
YES, you'd be forgiven for thinking we're in a parallel universe of some kind, or in the case of Mr Squiggle, living on the moon. It would appear to some that Miss Jane has yet to turn the picture upside down, or has she already? If you're Canberra and Manly you'd be pretty happy that her work is done. Not so in the case of Newcastle and St George Illawarra though, who right now embody the spirit of Bill Steamshovel and Gus the Snail.
