Oates' shoulder news positive: Broncos

COREY Oates has had scans on his injured shoulder this morning and the news is positive.

Oates will not require surgery on his injured joint after he was cleared of serious structural damage.

While there are no cracks or fractures, he does have a grade three acromioclavicular (AC) joint injury that will require four to six weeks of treatment.

It means the earliest the Broncos could see him on the field would be round six against the Dragons at Suncorp Stadium on April 7.

Oates left the field early because of the injury in last night's 25-10 win over the Warriors.

There were no other injury dramas for the Broncos ahead of next Saturday match in Sydney against the Panthers.
