No slap talk, please: Brown

Knights coach Nathan Brown won't be talking about the infamous 2003 slap of Trent Barrett any time soon.

Brown's Newcastle outfit will face Barrett's Sea Eagles for the first time at Hunter Stadium on ANZAC Day - and the pair of former Dragons have been reluctant to comment on the incident.

Opening his weekly presser at Newcastle's training venue on Tuesday, Brown was clear on the issue.

"Any questions about Trent Barrett and she's all over," Brown decreed.

Down the F3 at Narrabeen, Barrett has been silent on the issue - initially he was to front the media to clear the air about it, but the presser for it never happened.

Barrett did comment on the game at hand, telling the media that it was 'just another game, worth another two points' and that the Knights are always difficult to beat on home soil.

Brown meanwhile was keen to continue his crusade against the NRL's inconsistent concussion laws, which at times see clearly concussed players get up and play on, while others with no concussion are forced from the field for tests.
