From 1956-1966, the St George Dragons went above and beyond the pinnacle of Rugby League to claim a world-record 11 straight premiership victories. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of this remarkable era, Stoke Hill Press have published a new edition of Larry Writer's timeless book Never Before, Never Again.

First published in 1995, the 2016 edition includes new forewords by Craig Young and Mark Gasnier as well as an epilogue built around recent interviews with wing legends Johnny King and Eddie Lumsden.

It is a book of two parts. Firstly going through the 11 premiership-winning years, recalling some of the biggest matches and most poignant moments in League history. Larry Writer then profiles the champion footballers and pragmatic officials who made it happen. Their stories are brutally honest, raw and funny, sometimes heartbreaking.
