The Cronulla Sharks will play Brisbane recruit Darren Mapp in First Grade this Friday against Newcastle for the first time in 2006. With Kevin Kingston suspended for one match, Matt Hilder will move from the bench to the hooking role.

Newcastle welcomes back Reegan Tanner and George Carmont from injuries for the clash after both were ruled out just before kickoff last weekend through injury. Youngster Brad Tighe drops back to Premier League while Parramatta bound Todd Lowrie moves on to a five-man bench.

The Penrith Panthers have a new centre combination for their clash at CUA Stadium in Penrith against the New Zealand Warriors on Saturday night. Luke Lewis is sidelined with a knee problem while Danny Galea, who is off to the Tigers next year, is out with a shoulder problem.

Their replacements Lee Hookey and Mark O?Halloran both were new recruitments in 2006.

Sam Rapira has been given a call up for the New Zealand Warriors ahead of their do-or-die clash with the Panthers on Saturday. Rapira will play just his fifth NRL match and comes in to the side ahead of prop Evarn Tuimavave.

South Sydney has dropped outgoing brothers Ben and Shane Walker for their match with the Raiders on Saturday night. Joe Williams returns to halfback while former Panther Ben Rogers comes on to the bench with Shane Rigon dropping out of the squad. Adam MacDougall has been released from the remainder of his contract period.

Coach of the Canberra Raiders, Matthew Elliot, has named an unchanged line-up from the one that demolished St George Illawarra at Canberra Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Jason Smith, who was man of the match in that game, will play five-eighth against the side that he has been heavily linked to.

Parramatta has named one change for their match against Manly on Saturday night. Chad Robinson comes back in to the side after being ruled out just before kickoff in the team?s victory over the Wests Tigers on Sunday. The team will be looking for their fifth straight victory and a springboard towards a place in the 2006 Finals Series.

Manly have named centre Steve Bell on the bench for their match with the Eels on Saturday. It will be the first match for the Queenslander since fracturing his cheekbone in State of Origin II by club mate Steve Menzies.

Brisbane Broncos? utility Shaun Berrigan will move to halfback this weekend after Brett Seymour was dropped to the Queensland Cup. Joel Moon, who re-signed for the Broncos yesterday, has been named on a five-man bench.

The Wests Tigers have named their third five-eighth in as many weeks for the match with the Broncos on Sunday after captain Brett Hodgson sustained a knee injury in the side?s loss to the Eels on Sunday. Shane Elford will move from the centres to this position, with Paul Whatuira returning from a hamstring injury.

St George Illawarra welcome back Matt Bickerstaff for their top flight clash with the Storm on Sunday. Bickerstaff suffered a bout of chickenpox before the match with the Raiders on Sunday.

Greg Inglis will return from a back injury at Kogarah on Sunday after being named on a five-man bench for the Melbourne Storm. Billy Slater has been in good form at the back for the Storm over the past few weeks so it is unknown where coach Bellamy will play the young star.

The Sydney Roosters have lost 2006 recruit Braith Anasta for the rest of the season with a groin injury. Adrian Morley will not play after pleading guilty to kneeing Bulldogs hooker Corey Hughes. Brett Finch moves to five-eighth with young fullback Shaun Foley coming back in to the side.

The North Queensland Cowboys will play without Australian international Johnathon Thurston for the match on Sunday. Aaron Payne will play halfback inside of captain Travis Norton who will be at five-eighth. Kiwi David Faiumu moves in to hooker.

The Bulldogs will get the two points from the bye this weekend and will get a good weeks rest before taking on the Cowboys in Townsville next Saturday night.
