Back Injury Plaques Abraham

Knights? representative utility Daniel Abraham is in doubt for the first round of the NRL premiership with a back complaint.

The 22 year old Novocastrian injured his back while surfing during the off season, although it is not clear how serious the damage to his back is.

Abraham told a League Unlimited source that he may be unavailable for the Knights? trial games against North Queensland and the Sydney Roosters in late February.

He hopes to regain his fitness in time for the Knights? first premiership match against the 2003 premiers, the Penrith Panthers, on March 12.

The relatively injury-free Abraham has played 63 matches for his club since making his debut at fullback in 2000.
