Broncos sign Lee Hopkins

London Broncos have secured the services of Parramatta?s utility forward Lee Hopkins for the new season.

Hopkins will be joined by a raft of new players soon to be announced by the Broncos.

Lee has played 107 first grade games in the NRL since making his debut with Penrith Panthers in 1997. He spent six years with Penrith before linking up with Brian Smith?s Eels in 2003.

Lee is a strong running back-rower with a very good work rate and will be a welcome addition to a Broncos pack which seems to be strengthening in size by the day.

Tony Rea is delighted to have Lee locked away: ?He will be very good for us. And I know he is very excited about making a solid contribution to our club.?

The squad is coming together nicely.?

The 26-year old from Sydney?s western suburbs is eager to arrive and deliver in London:

?This is something that I have always wanted to do (play in England) and I really can?t wait to get cracking with our pre-season over there.?

I want to play and train to the very best of my ability and really help the club. I?m so excited Tony has given me this opportunity.?
