Bulldogs to fight knee-dropping
charge against Hughes

The Bulldogs have decided to challenge the National Rugby League judiciary over Corey Hughes' charge of dropping his knees. Hughes faces a three match suspension if found guilty tomorrow night of the grade two offence on North Queensland fullback Matt Bowen at Sydney Showground on Sunday.

Two other players today pleaded guilty of minor misdemeanours to narrowly avoid suspension. St George Illawarra hooker Mark Riddell pleaded guilty to a grade one striking charge and Canberra captain Simon Woolford accepted he'd committed a grade one careless high tackle.
