Bulls get Deacon boost

World Club Champions Bradford Bulls have received a big boost ahead of tomorrow night?s important Tetley?s Super League showdown with Wigan Warriors, with the news that Wigan born Scrum Half, Paul Deacon, has signed a new three year contract with the club and will remain at Odsal until the end of the 2007 season

Deacon, 25, has made the Scrum Half spot his own with the Bulls since joining the club from Oldham in 1997 and has made 186 appearances for the club, scoring 44 tries and kicking 532 goals, including 19 drop goals for a total of 1227 points. He has made eight appearances for Gt. Britain.

Bulls Coach Brian Noble is delighted that Deacon has committed his future to the club:

?I am delighted that Paul has agreed to stay with the club for the next three years. He is a very important member of our squad and a current international. He is vastly experienced and his game is still improving and I think he will become an even better player over the length of his contract with us.?

Paul Deacon himself is happy his future has been sorted out:

?I am really pleased to have secured my future at what I think is the best club in the game. The players here are first class and there is a great bond between the squad. I feel that Odsal will be the best place to be for success over the next three years and I am delighted that I will be part of it all.?
