Cowboys players suspended for rules breach

NORTH Queensland Toyota Cowboys players James Tamou and Blake Leary have been suspended for one week by the club's leadership group for breaking team rules.

The suspensions, endorsed by the club's administration, mean neither player will be available for selection this weekend.

Both players broke the team rule which stipulates alcohol is not to be consumed during a playing week.

The Cowboys playing staff and coaching staff will not make any further comment on the suspensions.

However, General Manager - Football Peter Parr will be available to talk to the media at
the club's offices at 1pm today.

The Cowboys' teams for this weekend will be announced by coach Neil Henry this afternoon.
