The Bulldogs have been given a massive boost with superstar Sonny Bill Williams cleared of a serious knee injury. Williams was forced from the field with a jarred knee in his side's 20-12 NRL victory over North Queensland on the Gold Coast yesterday, sparking fears he may face another lengthy stint on the sidelines.
But club doctor Hugh Hazard says there is no swelling of the knee and expects the 20-year-old to be fit to take on Melbourne at Olympic Park on Friday night. Last season, Williams was restricted to just five games due to knee, ankle and foot injuries.
