Injury update - Marshall, Mullen
Marshall had a scan done on his right shoulder in Sydney today, but must wait two days until receiving the results. He will meet with club doctor Donald Kuah and shoulder specialist Dr Des Bokor on Wednesday to discuss his results. Bokor operated on Marshall's right shoulder last season and both his two previous surgeries in 2004 (left) and 2005 (right).
Marshall lasted just five minutes in Saturday night's win over Melbourne after dislocating his shoulder in a tackle on Storm winger Israel Folau.
Meanwhile, Newcastle halfback Jarrod Mullen has been cleared of stress fractures in his right leg, but will undergo MRI scans in Sydney tomorrow to check for muscle or ligament damage.
Mullen missed yesterday's 30-16 NRL loss to the Bulldogs with calf tendonitis, but club officials feared he could have stress fractures and sent him for bone scans today. The 20-year-old NSW Origin prospect is relieved by the results and says the pain in his leg has subsided and he could be fit to play New Zealand Warriors this Saturday at EnergyAustralia Stadium.
