Justin Marshall rumours absolute
rubbish - Hetherington

Leeds CEO Gary Hetherington has rubbished reports widely circulated at the weekend that the Rhinos have asked New Zealand rugby union star Justin Marshall to play for them in the forthcoming World Club Challenge.

Reports claim that Marshall, who has signed to play for the Leeds Tykes in the next rugby union season, revealed that ?he was offered the chance to play for the Leeds Rhinos in their World Club Challenge match?.

Hetherington, however, dismissed the reports. ?It?s absolute rubbish,? he told League Correspondent. ?Justin?s comments have obviously been misinterpreted.

?He is a great admirer of Rugby League, and I suspect he would like to have a go at some stage, but he isn?t contracted with the Tykes until July, and at the age of 31 I don?t think it would be realistic to see him playing Rugby League.?
