Manly and Souths club news

Manly have been hit with a $10,000 breach notice by the NRL following claims coach Des Hasler approached match officials in the aftermath of yesterday's controversial loss to the New Zealand Warriors at Mt Smart Stadium.

It is believed Hasler visited the referees room three times and was involved in a heated debate with video referee Chris Ward, where he debated Ward's decision not to allow a first half try to Manly winger Michael Robertson due to an obstruction.

There were also reports Hasler made comments to a touch judge in the tunnel at halftime as the Sea Eagles slumped to their second straight loss with a 36-14 defeat.

Manly have five days to respond to the breach notice.

Meanwhile, veteran Craig Wing is determined to end his Sydney Roosters career on a high and doesn't care if it costs South Sydney a fairytale finals appearance.

Wing will play his last game for the Roosters this Saturday at Telstra Stadium before defecting to the Rabbitohs in 2008. But Wing says he isn't concerned with how Souths are placed heading into the last round of the season and only wants to end his time at Bondi Junction with a win.

Roosters five-eighth Braith Anasta says the Rabbitohs could figure prominently in this year's finals based on their current form.
