Great Britain prop Adrian Morley has been fined ?2,000 following his sending off for a reckless high tackle in the Think! Road Safety First Test against Australia on Saturday. The Sydney Roosters forward was dismissed after only 12 seconds of the clash following his challenge on Robbie Kearns in the opening tackle of the game.
He appeared before a Disciplinary Panel on Monday evening, and was found guilty of a reckless high tackle.
Morley escaped a further ban following the offence, but was fined ?2,000 by the panel.
He is free to play in this weekend's Second Test, at Hull's KC Stadium, and admits that he is looking to make amends on Saturday.
"Saturday was a very hard day for me," said Morley. "I just wish to put the incident behind me now and concentrate on my preparations for the Second Test."
Australia went on to win the game 22-18, taking a 1-0 lead in the three-game Test Series.
