Motu Tony quits Broncos

Motu Tony is following Ali Lauitiiti to England.

The former Warrior and Kiwi test player has decided to quit the Brisbane Broncos less than a year into his contract.

It is understood Tony has signed to play for Castleford in the UK Super League.

Castleford CEO Richard Wright is holding off confirming the Tony signing at this stage.

Wright says they have been talking to a number of players at home and abroad as they look to boost their playing ranks to get off the bottom of the Super League table.

The Broncos have confirmed they have released Tony.

A club spokesman says Tony has been unhappy in Brisbane and they do not want to stand in his way.
