The National Rugby League will outlaw players scoring tries from dummy-half when using teammates as a shield.
NRL referees boss Robert Finch spoke with referees and the NRL today after a try from Wests Tigers lock Ben Galea against the Sydney Roosters on Sunday caused a stir in league circles. Galea dived between the legs of a teammate to score against the Sydney Roosters.
Under the current rule, Galea's try was deemed legitimate try, but the league has had a re-think and says scoring in such a manner isn't in the spirit of the game.
