Newcastle has requested extra footage of the incident that left Robbie O'Davis nursing a badly broken nose to satisfy the National Rugby League judiciary was correct in not taking action against Robbie Beckett.
The Knights have spoken to judiciary commissioner Jim Hall after receiving a charge sheet, which listed Newcastle's Andrew Johns (head slam) and Josh Perry (contrary conduct), but not Beckett.
O'Davis was injured after a head clash with the West Tigers' Beckett in the second half of Saturday night's match at EnergyAustralia Stadium, won 34-6 by the Knights.
