Preview: Les Catalans v Leeds
(Round 5)

Catalans Dragons are hoping the introduction of scrum-half Mick Dobson will help stop the rot against Leeds in Perpignan on Saturday.

The Australian, signed as a short-term replacement for the injured Stacey Jones, flew into France on Monday night and goes straight into the team as the Dragons look to avoid a fourth successive defeat.

?He?s a typical tricky half-back who has added a bit of zip to the joint,? said assistant coach Paul Donkin, who will be in charge for the last time with Mick Potter due to arrive next week.

?Maybe our supporters have high expectations but we just want him to go out and give us a bit of an injection and steer the boys around a little bit more.

?He?s a pretty level-headed kid and a real good learner.?

Leeds, too, give a debut to a young half-back in Jordan Tansey as they look to maintain the pressure on early pacesetters St Helens, who visit Huddersfield on Sunday.

The Rhinos tasted defeat at Stade Aime Giral last summer when they lost to London Broncos ?on the road? but coach Tony Smith believes the experience will be put to good use this time.

?The trip was good as a promotional exercise for the game down there but it was also a vital fact-finding mission for us and we have put in place a lot of things that we learnt from it,? said Smith.

?We are flying direct from Leeds to Perpignan to cut down on travel time and I?m confident everything has been done to minimise the disruption that travelling that far could cause.?
