Record win by the Storm

Fulltime score: Round 4 Storm 50 v Broncos 4

Match summary: A one-sided affair in Melbourne tonight saw the home side absolutely steam roll the Brisbane Broncos to their biggest ever defeat by the Storm, 50-4, in front of a very happy Melbourne crowd.

Right from the start of the match the Storm made their intentions very clear with King in the centres, scoring in the 3rd minute. Apart from an error by Slater allowing Lockyer to score a solitary Broncos try against the run of play, the Storm had the monopoly on the scoreboard.

A superb effort by Melbourne both on attack and defence gave the Brisbane side absolutely no show of getting into the match. Matt Geyer notched up 500 NRL points tonight with his 2 tries. Slater, King and Webster also scoring doubles in a 10 try scoring blitz. The Storm back line continuously dangerous as their forward laid the foundations.

The Broncos suffered all night with missed tackles and continual offloads for the Storm and never looked like having a show at all against the continual wave of attack by the Storm.
