Tuesday's Expert Wrap - NRL Round 12

We've arrived at the end of the Round 12 of the 2014 National Rugby League Telstra Premiership! Check out all the results, reports and player of the year points right here.

For the second straight week the round opened with just a single fixture on Friday night following the excitement of State of Origin I. Penrith took the sword to an injury ravaged Parramatta who lost Jarryd Hayne pre-game following soreness from Wednesday's fixture, then Nathan Peats mid-game with what's now confirmed as a season ending ACL injury. Saturday saw the Sydney Roosters burst out of the blocks and finish comfortable winners over Canberra before the Cowboys kept a Cronk and Slater-less Storm scoreless in Townsville. The Warriors accounted for a gallant Knights outfit on Sunday before Brisbane destroyed Manly with an opening flurry of tries later in the afternoon. Monday night saw the Rabbitohs account for a listless Dragons side.

With the four remaining teams having a bye in Round 12, here's a look at the full results, scorers, player points and links to each match report:

This is the 3rd time you've given Peter Wallace 3 points when he's been nowhere near the best on the field. He must be just about leading your POTY competition. From my position 5 rows back at this game, Josh Mansour was the best player on the field. Your 2 and 3 I'd concur with. Nothing against Peter Wallace, he's giving the Panthers a stability and options they previously lacked, but something funny's going on here.
