VicHealth boss appointed to Storm

VicHealth boss Rob Moodie has been appointed chairman of National Rugby League club Melbourne Storm.

Moodie, best known for his international work in HIV and AIDS prevention and education, will take over the honorary role, which will involve representing the club at NRL and other high-level meetings. A former Victorian rugby union representative, Moodie has been chief executive of VicHealth - Victoria's health promotion foundation - for the past eight years.

Storm chief executive Brian Waldron says Dr Moodie's stature in the community made him an ideal choice to represent the club at meetings of substance.
