Wigan Warriors kicked off the round with a huge 46-4 win over Hull KR on Thursday night at the DW Stadium.
The Warriors rebounded from their loss to Leeds Rhinos in superb style with a romp that helped them bridge the gap to leaders St Helens.
Bevan French continues his wonderful season with another hat-trick as he kicked off the scoring for Wigan after just three minutes of the contest.
His wing partner Liam Marshall was the other hat-trick hero in the dominant win and scored in the first ten minutes alongside mid-season signing Michael Cooper.
French added his second score 19 minutes in before Hull KR were able to pull one back through their winger Ethan Ryan to make it 20-4 at the break.
The second half was a Warriors wall of points which was started by Kai Pearce-Paul before French completed his hat-trick and Marshall made his a double.
Late scores from Patrick Mago and Marshall's hat-trick completed the one-way traffic and sent the 11,032 fans home happy on Thursday night.

It was a fabulous trip to France for Hull FC in their 30-6 win over relegation threatened Toulouse Olympique on Friday night.
Toulouse were aiming to build a buffer on their rivals for relegation and got off to the perfect start when lock James Cunningham dived over and Chris Hankinson converted.
From there, Hull FC ran riot in Toulouse. It was a resounding response after their loss to Castleford Tigers at home last weekend.
Josh Simm and Ellis Longstaff both crossed for Hull FC in the first half to help turn around their deficit and give them a 10-4 big buddy at the break.
Hull FC got jiggy with it in the second half with Will Smith diving over 13 minutes into the restart before Jack Brown followed up four minutes later.
Harvey Barron who has a fantastic villain name and definitely was a villain for the home fans in attendance after his late score extended Hull FC's lead to 24.
This result puts Hull FC level with Salford Red Devils in sixth spot after Round 21 while Toulouse Olympique once again are in the relegation zone.

Wakefield Trinity scored a rare win in Castleford as they won 32-6 against the Tigers on Friday night to move out of the relegation zone.
The visitors hadn't won at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle in their last 17 clashes but snapped the streak in style scoring 30 straight points in the first hour.
Liam Hood crossed first from a smart dummy-half run to get Trinity ticking before Lewis Murphy collected a chip kick to make it 12-0.
Forward Matty Ashurst extended Wakefield's lead to 18 with his four-pointer just before half-time while the hosts had an effort from in-form winger Bureta Faraimo chalked off.
Murphy completed his double in the second half as Wakefield eyed off a rare triumph in Castleford with their 24 point lead being celebrated by the away fans.
David Fifita rounded off their points fest with a blockbuster run that skittled defenders and slammed the ball down for a 30-0 lead.
Castleford Tigers gave their fans some consolation with a four-pointer to five-eighth Danny Richardson on the hour mark as he converted his own score for 30-6.
Mason Lino had a perfect night from the boot kicking six from six from the tee and added a late penalty goal to stretch the Trinity advantage to 26.

Huddersfield Giants moved into third spot with their 32-22 success over Warrington Wolves on Saturday afternoon.
The Wolves were hungry for further success to move away from the relegation zone after Wakefield's win on Friday night and scored first through Jake Wardle for a 6-0 lead.
Stefan Ratchford was busy from the tee in the first half. He nailed three penalty goals which helped keep Warrington in the lead going into half-time.
The Giants were only narrowly behind at the break due to scores from Ashton Goulding and Adam O'Brien which had it 12-10 at the break.
Wolves again were quickest from the restart Matthew Ashton scored a double to give the visitors an eight-point lead despite Josh Jones crossing for the Giants.
Warrington were unable to hold their lead with Huddersfield scoring three times in the final fifteen minutes to take the two points in front of 4,549 fans at John Smiths stadium.
Innes Senior kicked it off with his four-pointer alongside scores from fullback Will Pryce and forward Owen Trout to drive the Giants into third spot on the Super League ladder.

12-man Leeds Rhinos spurred on by a Ritchie Myler hat-trick defeated Catalans Dragons 36-32 in a wild game on Saturday night.
Catalans Dragons were in firm control of the contest but somehow managed to conspire to lose their advantage to a wounded Leeds Rhinos side.
Foud Yaha scored a double in the first half for the Dragons as the hosts looked to hold onto their third spot in the Super League ladder.
Forward Benjamin Jullien's four-pointer was sandwiched between the winger's double as the Dragons took a 16-6 lead going into oranges.
Liam Sutcliffe gave the Rhinos some life late in the first half when he crossed in the final 60 seconds quickly followed by Rhyse Martin's conversion.
Catalans were given a boost when Leeds forward Matt Prior was dismissed for a dangerous tackle. Sam Tomkins piloted over the penalty goal before fan favourite Sam Kasiano crashed over alongside Samisoni Langi for a 30-6 lead.
No one told the Rhinos, the game was extinct. Richie Myler scored a hat-trick in 13 minutes which brought Leeds within striking distance of the two points.
Scores from interchange forward Brad Dwyer and Australian half Aiden Sezer sent the away fans into delirium as Leeds produced the comeback of the season in a 36-32 win.

Salford Red Devils recorded their result of the season in a 44-12 win over three-time champions St Helens on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils extended their unbeaten run to three games and remain in sixth spot on the Super League ladder after this shocking triumph over the Champions.
Prop Sitaleki Akauola got the party started with a close-range effort before winger Joe Burgess and centre Dan Sarginson crossed in quick succession to blow away the Saints.
Kallum Watkins was the next to get a four-pointer for the Red Devils alongside a second try for Burgess gave the hosts a 26-0 lead at the break.
The sides traded tries to open the second half with Greg Burke scoring for Salford and St Helens getting on the scoreboard through fullback Jack Welsby.
Watkins completed his double with Salford's seventh four-pointer of the game as they were enjoying themselves against the best team in Super League.
Salford Red Devils left their best for last. From their own end, there was a chain of passing which sent Australian halfback Brodie Croft away to celebrate with their biggest crowd of the season.
St Helens found some late consolation through Alex Warmsley which got them into double digits for the game on an otherwise forgettable afternoon for the Champions.
