The hosts were the first to strike with last year's Man of Steel Brodie Croft laid on the first pass for former NRL man Ken Sio to score in the corner.
In a tense first half, chances were few and far between. Hull KR thought they had leveled just before the break before it was judged to be a knock on from a high kick.
Hull KR went back to the aerial route just after the break when the crossfield kick was grounded by Ethan Ryan and converted by Will Dagger to make it 6-4.
They went to the boot again to make it 12-4 when Jordan Abdull grubbered through for Frankie Halton to dive over from close range.
The right side of the Red Devils attack roared to life again when Deon Cross stepped his way to the try line to bring it back to 12-10.
The visitors had a double to Sam Wood which secured the two points and made it two from two to start the season. Both were provided by Shaun Kenny-Dowall and gave us a 24-10 final score.

It was the visitors with the first points in the contest. A grubber through was swooped on by Peter Mata'utia to make it 6-0.
The only other points in the first half came from the boot of Stefan Ratchford. He piloted home a penalty goal to extend the Wolves lead to eight.
Wolves were off the mark again quickly in the second half through James Harrison. He latched onto an offload from Sam Kasiano to push the lead out to 14-0.
Huddersfield Giants gave their fans some hope when Joe Greenwood crossed the stripe. The Giants ran the ball on last tackle and the forward slammed the ball down.
Their comeback was extinguished quickly by Matty Ashton. The winger finished off a long range break that bamboozled the defense then snatched an intercept to make it 26-6.

Leeds hit back through their own Cameron, this time of the Smith variety. He spied some space behind the Hull FC defence and charged through to touch down for 6-4.
Next, former Rhino Liam Sutcliffe put the visitors back ahead. Chris Satae started the move which ended with the centre scoring from close range.

Bevan French picked up where he left off last season with a weaving run for 6-0 before his opposite winger Marshall strode onto a kick to double the advantage.
It was déjà vu again with both French and Marshall finding the stripe again to put the Warriors in a commanding position early in the contest.
Jai Field and Liam Farrell pushed through some feeble Wakefield Trinity defence which helped the Warriors to a 34-0 lead at half-time.
Marshall added another two tries to open up the second half as Wigan continued to pile on the misery on the visitors in a one-sided performance.
Sam Powell, Cade Cust and Harry Smith rounded out the dominant performance from the Warriors with four-pointers to make it a 60-0 score line.

The visitors weren't to be denied for long. Jack Welsby found himself infield and finished off a slick Saints move for a 6-0 lead.
While Ritson wasn't able to get on the scoreboard in the first half, he made quick amends in the second half. He trailed a break made by Jonny Lomax to get his first Super League score.
Tigers finally broke through the Saints defense through Jack Broadbent. The back looked destined to score before a high tackle from Welsby felled him. The referee judged it a penalty try and the Tigers were within six.
Lomax and Ritson almost combined again with a kick but it was fumbled. Welsby found the Saints third from the boot which saw Alex Warmsley touch down.
The big forward made it a double late in the contest. It was a rampaging effort from Warmsley who brushed aside the Tigers to make it 24-6.
