NRL 2025: what you need to know

The Dolphins have reclaimed their spot back on top of the NRL ladder following an impressive 26-10 win over the Wests Tigers at Suncorp Stadium in an entertaining affair.
The first half was all Dolphins as the Tigers were not able to get anything going where their opponents were able to do it straight from the kick-off. The home side opened the scoring inside five minutes when Jack Bostock got on the outside of the Tigers defence before linking with Isaiya Katoa who scored.
Two penalty goals to the Dolphins extended their lead out to 8-0 before the Hammer got his name on the scoresheet but it was Felise Kaufusi who did all the work as he went through space and needing a fresh set of legs to finish it off, it was Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow who was able to get over for
The injury crisis of the weekend continued for both sides as the Tigers lost two players to concussion and there were some concerns throughout the second half for the Dolphins as well.
The Tigers looked much better in the second half as things started to click and the return of Api Koroisau to the field sparked things up as Solomona Faataape got the first of his double as he charged over the line and fought his way to the line. The second try for Solomona Faataape again wasn't exactly easy again and had a bit of a talking point to it as he chased through an Aidan Sezer kick and despite some questions on the grounding it was confirmed by the bunker and the Tigers had closed the gap to 14-10.
Despite the momentum being with the Tigers, the Dolphins were able to shift it back their way and it was off the boot of Isaiya Katoa setting up Kodi Nikorima with a beautiful grubber through before Felise Kaufusi was able to pick up a rare try to seemingly seal the win.
Not finished yet though, the Tigers showed some more tenacity when they got over inside the final 10 minutes through Alex Seyfarth but that was it and the gap couldn't get any smaller.
The Dolphins will have a clash against the Broncos next week again at Suncorp Stadium whereas the Tigers head to Campbelltown for a clash with the Dolphins.
