ALLAN ARKEY
Died 18th June 2006
North Sydney Representative 1951-1958
Games: 89
Tries: 1
Goals: 343
The North Sydney Club would like to express it's sincere condolences to the family and friends of one of North Sydney and Rugby Leagues' greats Allan Arkey who passed away this week - 18th June 2006.
Allan Arkey a life member of the Club, was the Super Boot of the 1950s. Indeed at 343 goals, Allan the 1950s fullback still holds the club record for goal-kicking in a season.
He often provided Norths with the winning margin. A highly consistent goal kicker, he remains the leading point scorer (689) in the Clubs' history after Jason Taylor - a total made up almost entirely of goals.
